Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) for the potential transfer of the Town of North Redington Beach (Town) Wastewater System to the County.
• LOI is to acknowledge the Town’s interest and intent to transfer its wastewater system to County.
• Approval of LOI allows County to conduct associated due diligence within one hundred eighty (180) days of executing the LOI.
• Due diligence process includes analysis of existing documentation relating to the financials, system operations, and capital improvements of Town’s wastewater collection system.
• All financial obligations will be the Town’s responsibility.

Summary:
This LOI is intended to clarify the factors seen as relevant to the potential transfer of the Town’s Wastewater System to the County and to provide formal confirmation of the Town's intention to take the steps necessary to evaluate and complete such a transfer. Approval of the LOI will allow the County to conduct associated due diligence within one hundred eighty (180) days of executing the LOI. The due diligence process will include an analysis of existing documentation relating to the financials, system operations, and capital improvements of the Town’s wastewater collection system. All financial obligations will be the Town’s responsibility.
Background/Explanation:
On May 24, 2023, the Town contacted the County to discuss the possible acquisition of its wastewater collection system. The Town’s system has an estimated total of 23,656 linear feet of gravity mains, 85 manholes, and 1,548 customers. The County will thoroughly analyze the Town’s collection system to determine its condition and potential for transfer.
