Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the tipping fee waiver extension to support the request from the Town of Redington Beach for disposal of 7,000 holiday wreaths that were donated and set at the Bay Pines Veteran’s Administration Cemetery.

•                     The County Administrator is granted delegated authority to waive solid waste tipping fees per Resolution 97-284.

•                     This fee waiver applies to a one-time disposal of holiday wreaths that will be collected and transported by the Town’s contractor, Waste Connections.

•                     The delivery of materials for disposal is expected on January 20, 2024, but may need to be adjusted for weather or unforeseen logistical issues.

•                     A similar waiver request was approved in 2023.  The loss of disposal revenue to Solid Waste is minimal for this waiver.
